Some DVD movies come with both Widescreen and Full screen versions. Is it possible to select which version during backing up so as to reduce the space required on the DVDR?

DVD Shrink Re-Author mode will work fine for that, just pick which one you want.

Or use DVDStripper (now freeware) to strip either widescreen or full screen version (your choice) and still keep the menu.

@DoubleShadowIce
Unfortunately, I haven't really had time to play around with it (too busy at the moment).One of these days, I'll have to sit down and go thru it step by step (looks terribly complicated though
).
Thanks again for the tip.
