  1. Some DVD movies come with both Widescreen and Full screen versions. Is it possible to select which version during backing up so as to reduce the space required on the DVDR?

  2. DVD Shrink Re-Author mode will work fine for that, just pick which one you want.

  3. Or use DVDStripper (now freeware) to strip either widescreen or full screen version (your choice) and still keep the menu.

    Simple question...simple answer. You do a few of these and it gets easier and easier.

    Reauthoring with DVD Shrink gives you only a movie only backup. DVD Stripper strips the unwanted version but you still have the aspect ratio menu to contend with.
