    I have been browsing the forums and it seems like it should be easy to re-convert M2V files. I have some M2V files that are in pal standards and need to convert them. I also want to change the audio to ac3. How can I convert M2v to MpegII ????

    ive tried opening the m2v file in tmgenc plus, virtual dub, and neither will open it.?

    m2v is MPEG2. Just change the extension to .mpg

    m2v is the video only portion of an mpg2/vob file,they contain no audio unless they are improperly named mpg2 files. Multiplexing an audio stream with the m2v will create an mpg.
