Hi,
I was converting a few .avi files to dvd compatible formats when I noticed the presence of several green screens that appear in the converted .m2v files. These random green frames are not present in the original .avi (as least not present when I went looking for them in virtualdub). I noticed that these green frames appear on frames that are relatively empty (ie. black, like near the intro of a movie). I also noticed some of these green bits 'add' itself to a frame and cause the frame to 'shift' left or right.
I've encoded these .m2v files following the HCbatchGUI guide found at https://forum.videohelp.com/topic337887.html
Settings were set as recommended in the guide with the changes to 29.97 fps and 16:9. Average bitrate was set to 3400 and maximum was set to 9500.
So if anyone could shed some light on these weird green flashes, it would be greatly appreciated.
