I purchased some previously rented dvd`s from the rental shop the other day and noticed that 2 of them were badly scratched so I thought I would back them up to DVD-R for preservations sake.

Some of them had nearly fifteen minuets of adverts on the front lead in that you had to sit through befor you got to the main film. CloneDVD managed this as it backs up tightels with menu`s no adverts. DVD shrink could not do this or am I missing somthing.

Best you can do in DVD Shrink is to have the video as an image sequence, as you can see from this screenshot it's not ideal as it still takes up quite a bit of space. Or you could just do a movie only backup, I never bother with extra's so I usually do it that way.

  3. yerh as steveryan said, hit 're-author' instead on 'full disc'.

this opens up a new screen with browser, drag the video file to window on left. use preview to find correct video file (usually title 1).

youll see a icon with two blue arrows. click this and you will be able to set the NEW begining and end of the video file.
