I got a 333MHZ Dell g6-350 computer to work with.

It was running an old verison of Windows 95. When we brodcast on tv, very often the system crashes and freezes. We dont have the luxery of simply buying a new system so we have to improvise.

The system is now running Windows NT Server Edition 4.0 Service Pack 6. Yeah i know, i couldnt get my hands on a copy of workstation, but i disabled all the server features and IIS wasn't even installed.

Does anyone think the NT will help the system freeze less and preform better or am i fighting an impossible battle.

BTW: i will be installing Office 97 or 2000 but no other programs will be installed.

I also would like information from anyone who has NT, how would I go about preventing a user from installing programs. One reason the system got trashed is people installed junk programs on it.

NT rules, that system can now be used reliably during the brodcast. and if it does crash, we can kill the crashed program and no blue screen of death.
