I have no idea what site to go to, but people on this site seem to know so much. We are getting ready to travel this weekend and while my husband is driving I would like to be able to watch a movie on the in dash screen. However, once you put the van in gear, you can no longer view the movie. Does anyone know if there is an over ride for this or where I may go to find out?
Thanks

I know you can override....say...a Volkswagen one....so I'm pretty sure it can be done. But finding the "illegal" part(if it indeed does exist for your car) and installing it before the weekend? Doubtful.

With all the sincerity I can muster, from one who came VERY close to causing an accident as a driver distracted by a front seat video:
This would be such a serious safety hazard (distraction for the driver), I sincerely hope, for your safety and the safety of the hundreds of other vehicle occupants (many of them children) around you during the trip, that you do NOT seek--or find--such a dangerous and illegal override.
For $50-$70, you could buy a portable and sit in the back seat to watch your movie, or, if you MUST sit in the front seat, position the portable so the driver cannot see it.
