Hi, ive converted a dew avi's to dvds now, and each time i am having a problem, i used to have a problem with the sound, then i found a new way of burning and can now avoid that. HOWEVER, not i am having a problem, where near the end of the movie, the dvd (on my standalone player) keeps stoping every 2 seconds, skipping a bit of the movie,, and it will keep doing this for the rest of the movie, is there a reason.

Dont know if this has anything to do with it, but before i encode i change the audio (in VirtualDub) to 44100Hz, anyway its really annoying me now, if anyone knows a way to stop this, cause i am following the guids on the website, dont know whats going wrong.
I am usong DVD-R's if that matters.

    Thanx!

  2. Why do you change the audio to 44100?
Why not leave it at 48000 as it should be?

I made is 44100Hz cause a tutorial told me, when converting a DivX, its better to extract the sound from the video and do it seperatly, and in the tutorial it says set it as "44100Hz"
if i do set it to "44800Hz" (or whatever it is) will i get the bad playback at the end (the skipping)?

And when i used to have the sound problem, when i used 44100Hz, it used to work for about half the movie then after that it would go bad, thats using the 44100Hz sound, is that what was causing it?

    Thanx

  5. I don't know what tutorial would tell you that??...but
Try a test burn with a DVd-Rw and check out different settings to see what works (rather than wasting any more DVD-R)

I see, burning with 4800Hz, would that fix the bad audio that occures half way, or the skipping parts at the end, cause i have to burn them two different ways, for different problems to happen (sounds kinda weird i know)

Make ISO, then use DVD Decrypter to burn -----causes----- skipping end
Use 44100HZ, burn with TMPGEnc DVD Author -----causes----- bad audio half way through.

    Use :

Virtual Dub to extract the video and audio
MainConcept MPEG Encoder v1.4.1 for converting AVI to DVD
Audio Recorder 4.0 to convert WAV to MP2 (48000 HZ)
    DVD LAB to author
