  1. I am just wondering if anyone knows of or has come across a program which can detect codec problems or conflicts on my CPU. I have been having A LOT of problems lately with .AVI files playing on my CPU both before and after conversion to .MPEG with DVD2SVCD.

    Thanks in advance,

    Chris

GSpot can tell you what codec an AVI used, and which ones you have installed. In the Device manager, under Sound, video and game controllers, is the Video codecs. Here you can see if they are in conflict with any other devices.
