i have an mpeg clip that plays fine on the pc but when i use svcd2dvd to author it and nero to burn it onto dvd the video plays fine in my stand alone dvd player but the audio is crap with scratching sounds and clicks, i have burnt two more of the clip but they all seem to be the same.

i have another question aswell regarding svcd2dvd, i create different vts's for different clips then when burnt in nero a message appears sating that the dvd may not work correctly

What was your original file and what did you do to it?

Also, what are you talking about with the different vts's for different clips? Are you trying to put more than one set of audio_ts & video_ts folders on a DVD? That won't work. All clips in your project need to be authored into one title set.

What are you trying to do, exactly? Is all your source the same (frame size, aspect ratio, AC3 or MP2 audio, etc) or are you using different types of files? You shouldn't have to use multiple VTSs in the same project if all your stuff is the same. At least that's my understanding of using multiple VTSs.

What settings did you use when you produced the MPEG2 files you authored?

Well, SVCD2DVD decompresses the audio to wav, then upsamples it to 48 kHz (loss of quality here) then reencodes the wav (again a loss in quality). Try making the audio 48 kHz with some other tool, if the ones used by svcd2dvd doesn't produce good results.
