Its clear that S-Video provides a better picture than a normal SCART lead.
However, what if the SCART lead has 21 pins and is outputting a Y/C signal?
Does this provide an equal quality to S-Video?
I ask as I bought a JVC HR-S7965EK VCR today and it offers S-Video out (one of the reasons I bought it, along with the fact it has a TBC/NR). However, in the manual it suggests using a 21 pin scart and setting it to give an S-Video (Y/C signal) is the best option.
But the question is, will the Canopus Convertor receive a Y/C signal from the "composite in"?
(When using a SCART lead to Composite & RCA lead?)
Any information much appreciated.
Thanks.
