I am using ffmpegX for the first time. Every time I ty to encode anything (.dv, .mov) I get an output like this:

/bin/sh: line 1: /Applications/Utilidades vi/Contents/Resources/movtoy4m: No such file or directory
/bin/sh: line 1: /Applications/Utilidades vi/Contents/Resources/yuvscaler: No such file or directory
**ERROR: [mpeg2enc] Could not read YUV4MPEG2 header: system error (failed read/write)!

Why does this happen? Maybe because I haven't bought Quicktime MPEG-2 Playback Component?

  2. Delete ffmpegX and reinstall it again. Make sure to follow step 1, then step 2, and finally step 3 of the installation instructions.

I just found that putting spaces in directory names confuses ffmepg, maybe the same for you. I posted a few posts above this one about it.
