Is there any method to burn a dvd that work with almost every standalone dvd player? My method is using dvdshrink3.1 and nero 6 which work but not on every standalone so I'm looking to see if there is a better way.

I would think that burning as UDF 1.02 mode would be the most compatible, but I could be wrong. I know that using the DVD-Video template in Nero is VERY incompatible (at least in my limited experience).
Compatibility also has alot to do with media type (+ or -), brand, max bitrate, type of audio, what you use to author it.. as well as many other factors. I guess for the most compatible DVD you would need to use Riteks, make sure you have no bitrate spikes, don't reauthor the original menu at all, burn using UDF 1.02, with PCM audio.
