I recently uploaded video from my digital cam to my hard drive using ADS A/V Link. Upon watching the files with any player, I see a sawtooh edge on everything that moves in any direction. Now I don't see this when I play the video directly to my TV via the A/V cable from the cam. How can I clean up these files? Or do I need to upload using something else?

The problem you describe is most likely caused by the fact that your video is interlaced and your computer monitor is not. If you don't plan on burning them to DVD and watching on your TV, then you can use software to de-interlace them. But this screws them up if you want to watch them on TV later.

They should. Try burning a small clip where you know you see the problem to a re-writable DVD and test it out for sure if you can.

Thanks Brain... I tried a small sample and it plays fine on the tele. One other question. On some of the movements in the video lets say left to right a passing car for instance. The cam is steady and as the car passes it leaves behind a trace or ghosting shadow. The same effect happens when the cam in move from side to side. Any suggestions?

Glad to hear it was just interlacing as I suspected. As far as your ghosting problem, unfortunately I don't have a suggestion for you there. Maybe you should start another thread on that topic.
