  1. I just got an RCA Lyra for christmas. It says that it plays mpeg4 files. Does anyone know what to do in order encode files that will work? Is there something I can do with TMPEnc?

  2. Noname,

MPEG4 would be DivX or XviD. I am unsure about the type of video your player needs (it is a portable player isn't it?) so you'd need to find out from the manual or something.

With regards to conversion to DivX, there are loads of guides on this site:

    Hope this helps,

  3. I, too, have a Lyra 2780.

I used GSpot to analyze their demo files and then used GSpot to analyze the files I was uploading to the Lyra.

They were remarkably the same. Almost everything was exactly the same.

So why does the player hang on the video I upload and not on the demo video.

    ???

  4. All righty!

    Here's how to do it.

Use EO video compression software. I don't know why, but this is the only one that worked.

    Get the DivX 5.1.1 codecs.

Use the MP3 compression for audio.

I still have the problem of audio being a second or two earlier than video. When I figure that out, I'll post it.

  5. Also, when you set the screen size, it must be 320 x 240.
