I just got an RCA Lyra for christmas. It says that it plays mpeg4 files. Does anyone know what to do in order encode files that will work? Is there something I can do with TMPEnc?

Noname,
MPEG4 would be DivX or XviD. I am unsure about the type of video your player needs (it is a portable player isn't it?) so you'd need to find out from the manual or something.
With regards to conversion to DivX, there are loads of guides on this site:

Hope this helps,

I, too, have a Lyra 2780.
I used GSpot to analyze their demo files and then used GSpot to analyze the files I was uploading to the Lyra.
They were remarkably the same. Almost everything was exactly the same.
So why does the player hang on the video I upload and not on the demo video.
