Would you say this BUS speed is normal when testing with a CD.
I have tried to do it with a DVD and its far greater 13MB/s
Device is set as slave on primary IDE because when it was in second IDE it would not work in more then multiwordDMA.
My Plextor CDRW is set to master on primary IDE and its Bus speed is 17-19MB/s. Have tried alot CDs orginal and recorded.
Maybe just an error?

Are you using an add-on controller?
Nothing can stop me now, 'cause I don't care anymore. -
no. I havnet installed anything at all. Windows 2003 server no drivers.
What exactly does this speed mean at all? I tried to copy a CD to hard disk and it was only 10 seconds slower then the much faster Plextor.
