  1. all,

I needs some advice with what specfic brands of media work with the new samsung dvd-rom SDG-605.

Here are my pc and Xbox specs.

    DVD Burner- LiteON +- R/RW
    Software - Nero 6.0

    Media
    Fuji DVD+R
    Fuji DVD +RW
    Maxwell -R

    Xbox
    EvolutionX V+393 hack
    Player Samsun SDG-605b

I have used a few different type of media and the only media that seems to work so far is the Fuji+RW. If does reciginze my back up games when I play them on the +RW. Is there any way i can use either +R or -R media with the samsung player.

So if any of the xbox "power players" out there could give some advice... would be in debt.

    Thanks.

  2. the 605's will not read +R media. i think only the 616t pc drive will read +R along with the (old)phillips and thompson.

I have had luck with Fuji & Verbatim -R but had to use Nero for burning as Record Now Dlx would cause the same media not to be read by the drive. YMMV

  5. i use dvd decrypter for all my iso needs. people say use ritek for xbox, somehow when i do, it freezes on certain games, nfl street, doav, etc. used khypermedia & verbatim, both CMC, on those games that froze when i backup with ritek, and they seem to perform better. yet i still stick with ritek, but sometimes go with CMC disc. more convenient if you have a big HD, therefore you could fit dozens & dozens of games and play off the HD

  6. Its been reported that the sammy xbox drive will read dvd+r disk that have been set to dvd-rom with a drive that supports bitsetting. I'm not sure which LiteOn drive you have but if you have one that supports it try it.
