  1. please help?i have used the guide in dvd ripping to rip my dvd using smartripper,dvd2avi,tmpgenc+vfapi plugin,nero.
    when i come to burn the vcd through nero it says mpeg file is unsuitable for such a disc(vcd v2.0 cdi player)??

  2. What version of Nero, and did you use standard VCD bitrate?? did Nero say "detected stream is not VCD format, yadda yadda yah, reencode, turn off, canca" something to that effect?

  3. the nero version is 5.5.4.0 and it does say all that yadda yadda after it m8

Yes Nero is real pciky about having standard spec VCD, so your VCD must not be standard spec...at this point either "click, turn off stand compliance check" when it ask you that question as far what you want to do....but from there, when you go to "start new VCD", look on the initial screen, and you will see a check/tick mark by a line that says "check for standard compliance" or something to that effect....you can uncheck/untick that and that prompt should no longer come up when you get ready to burn.

  7. hi,i used this exact guide:

    ripped the dvd with smartripper then dvd2avi
    and then inserted into tmpgenc the video.d2v and the audio file .........then i put this into nero 5.5.4.0 and it came up with a great vid after i turned the compliance thingy off but no audio.........i cant figure out why its done this though as i've followed the guide on this site word for word,it must be someting too do with my error (vcd v2.0)???? thats all it seems to have thrown up wrong to me?thanx again Kdiddy
