  1. Hi, I need your help.

    I will explain as more details I can. I am using Leadtek graphic card Pro TH my Vivo for capturing my videos in MPEG 2 format.

    The settings I used: DVD, CBR 6000 720x576 (pal), MPEG layer audio 224,44100Hz stereo.

    The picture is perfect.

    Then I open DMF 2 and choose Custom settings to match my capture video:

    DVD PAL 6000bit rate, 720x576, sound 48khz,MPEG layer 224.-if you see the sound khz is 48 and my Creative capture 44100. But lets go further.

    I add my video, edit chapters etc, CHECK-DO NOT CONVERT MPEG2 COMPLIAN FILE and after press OUTPUT, after some time everything is on my DVD disk-working perfect.

    BUT I hate to say there is BUT, started couple days ago, I use same settings, and when I press output button in DMF2 after some time, there is a message on my monitor saying:

    MPEG PROGRAM STREAM IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THIS DVD ENGINE,
    I tryed to UNCHECK option DO NOT CONVERT MPEG2 COMPATIBLE FILE and I got this message:
    ALL OR PART OF AUDIO DATA IS NOT COMPATIBLE. I even try to capture video from the same tape again about 3 hours of material. I captured first 1:30 minutes, tryed to output and same 2 messages, but second 1:30min are OK. Maybe is good to mention that first part of 1:30min have very bad part of video, like tape is very old, somewhere in the midle but after is Ok-that 1:30min I can not output to DVD, but I had bad tapes before and never saw those messages before.

    I tryed to explain my problem so everybody can understand it and I hope somebody know what is wrong. I tryed to reinstal DMF2 and still same. I am using windows 2000

    Thank a lot peoples

  2. The 44khz audio is not compliant with DVD standards.

    So you have an non-compliant source file.

    This means you should not check the DO NOT CONVERT COMPLIANT FILES check box because your file is not compliant.

    Recommendation:

    1. Uncheck the DO NOT CONVERT COMPLIANT FILES check box;

    2. Then click the CHANGE MPEG SETTINGS button;

    3. After the small pop-up menu appears, click the CUSTOMIZE option;

    4. After the VIDEO SAVE OPTIONS pop-up menu appears, click the GENERAL and COMPRESSION tabs and modify the video settings to precisely match the properties of your source VIDEO;

    5. Choose either LPCM or MPEG Audio and - if you choose MPEG Audio - choose an audio bitrate;

    6. Click the OK buttons to accept the settings.

    Now - when you get to the burn stage - only your AUDIO should be re-encoded.

    Your video should not re-encode.

    Or, you can simply capture originally your audio at 48KHz.

    To get dvd compliant audio with leadtek, choose dvd-?? as templete, modify to what bitrate you want and save as new templete

  6. 1. How to capture audio in 48 when I am using Creative which i think can capture only 44100

    2. I did that, I modified DVD PAL template, and left audio format unchanged, and I always last 10 months do VHS to DVD recording, but this is first time that i ot those messages, and something more happening.

    When I am recording directly to DVD from DMF 2, when recording finish, I got message that something is wrong with disc, insert another one and try again and bla bla, but disc is full-recorded but my standalone DVD wont recognize it.

    That happened once 2 days ago.

    I think its time to format C: and reinstall everything

    Thanks
