    Are there anyway to convert mpeg1 to mpeg2?
    If yes, where can i get the full instruction?

  2. try to decode it again in mpgenc with the apropriate set up or convert it back to *.avi and do the work again...

  4. going from vcd -> svcd will not improve the quality by much....might loose quality actually since the source will have to be stretched

  5. At the same bitrate and resolution MPEG1 and MPEG2 look exactly the same. So there's no improvement in going from VCD -> SVCD. You can't make improve the quaility above the source.

    The real reason MPEG2 is better than MPEG1 is because MPEG2 supports features that MPEG1 lacks: multiple audio tracks, multiple angles, subtitles, interlacing, etc.
