  1. Yesterday I was an idiot and left my 2 year old daughter in the room with the computer while I was in the shower. Came into the room and it was almost the way she was clicking and typing away. Then I sat down to burn some things and realized that all of my bin and cue files are associated with freemount...fastmount...something like that. I swear I dont even remember dowloading anything called that. But I don't know what to do to change it back. I mean what are bin and cue files associated with? Nothing right? Is there anyway I can fix this? I tried to burn a bin/cue file and now it doesnt recognize it. I even tried to reinstall windows to fix it but that didnt work. Tried system restore...didnt work. Can someone help me????

This is the only reference I could find that might make sense:

    "FastMount 1.0.3.49 - UPDATED
    Download: fastmount_1_0_3_49.zip

Description: A tool similar to awxDtools. You can link different Imagetypes directly to Daemon Tools with this Tool - just right-click to the image you want to mount.

    Size: 180 KB

Release Date and Time: Fri Aug 08, 2003 15:18"

    Maybe your daughter downloaded it.

You reinstalled Windows and the file association still remained? Wow. Clean install or upgrade?
In an Explorer window go to Tools>Folder Options and the File Types tab. go to bin and then cue, and change or just delete the extension. That should unregister it.
