  1. Hi

I tried to join 2 files .avi in virtualdub 1.5.10 but when I tried to join second file I've got this message:

VirtualDub has detected an improper VBR audio encoding in the source AVI file and will rewrite the audio header with standart CBR values during processing for better compatibility. This may introduce up to 122811 ms of skew from the video stream. If this is unacceptable, decompress the " entire" audio stream to an uncompressed WAV file and recompress with a constant bitrate encoder. (bitrate: 130.9_+34.1 kbps)

I'm newbie and for me this is " black magic".
Can someone tell me step by step what I suppose to do to be able to join these two files ?
    I'll appreciate certain help.

Try Virtualdub MP3 Freeze. It's the variable bitrate encoded MP3 audio causing you problems.

I believe Vdub requires the .AVI files to be the exactly the same. I.E. compressor, and audio specs...

If you're familiar with AVISynth, then make a script to grab both .AVI files, and open your .AVS script in Vdub..That might work out..

I'm pretty sure the mainstream $$ video editors have no problems with this issue..
