  1. Hi All,
    I have an .avi file which is of 720mb(Higer than 700).I want to burn it into a Cd-R Disc(Capacity 700mb).Could anyone suggest a Burn Software to do this.

    Would be nice if some one could help in this regard.

  2. if what you want is to archive the AVI as a data disk, there are many programs that will....probably including the one that came with your burner.
    If the AVI exceeds the limit of a cd, then a program like Nero has an overburning option. Be advised that there are some risks associated with overburning.

    If there are parts of the AVI you don't need, you can use VirtualDub (free) to edit the AVI and reduce file size so as to fit on a standard cd-r.

    If you don't want to remove any of the video, you can use VDub to split the AVI and archive onto 2 cd's. Cd's are dirt cheap these days.

    If you want to convert the avi to a VCD, then you need to go to 'school'. Enrollment begins in the column of links on the left side of this page.

  4. if its just a back up and u only plan on using the avi file on a pc, id suggest using winRAR or winzip to compress the file as you can often get errors overburning at the end of a disc
