My cousin is visiting from England and brought his Sony mini DV Handicam. I can't get my ADS Instant DVD/USB box to recognise the video signal.
Is there some setting that I can use to get the video signal or not?
Any info appreciated.
Dave

In your capture settings you need to have either S-video or composite depending on how you've connected the analog output from the camcorder. Also, you need to have PAL selected as the format.
If it is a DV camcorder why aren't you using iMovie via the firewire port to capture the video or Toast 6 (if you have that)? -

Thanks for the info.
We don't have a firewire cord for the camera but may go and get one.
I'm going to try to get the video signal through the DVD/USB box, for now.
Thanks again for the info.
