Ok, I know this might sound stupid and obvious, but here goes:

If I use nero recode and set the quality level on a movie to 100%, does this mean that the file is not recoded at all, or does it mean that nero recodes it to the same file size? As well, if I'm not compressing anything at all (just removing audio, subs and extras) is it worth preforming a "deep analysis" at all? Thanks.

  2. Hello. You wouldn't need deep analysis if you're not compressing anything; and no, Recode 2 does not 're-transcode' the stream, it leaves it as is (when you set it to 'no compression'). So feel free to load up your DVD in Recode 2, don't compress anything, and get rid of the audio channels/subtitles/extras you don't want
