I use AnyDVD 3 + Nero Recode 2
About 20-25 min to analyse and another 20-25 min to convert
+ 15-30 min to burn (2x or 4x) -
Using DVD Shrink with full analysis mode on my XP1600 system takes about 50 mins to analyse and 25 mins to convert.

NO! My specs are very similar, and using Shrink 3.1.2 my whole process using deep analysis on a full 8+gb episodic disk takes 45-55 minutes. That's ripping, analysing, deep analysis, encoding, burning.
Here's a few things to check into, or buy. Make sure you have 2 drives, the burner - and a dvd rom (go with the Lite On at WalMart for under $40). For one it will save wear and tear on your burner, and for me my rip speeds more than 10x on the average. With your burner I'm guessing your at somewhere near 2-3x. Check your aspi layer, or download the newest version. Try to have your dvd-rom set as master, burner as slave if you have them on the same ide chain. Make sure you have all your devices set to DMA mode.
These are the tips that helped me achieve some really good results. I can do some movie only reauthors in as little as 17 minutes, including burn time. -
My system takes 19min to analize and 19min to encode.
