NEC Bare drivers

Hi all,


Can any one tell me where I can get the software for a NEC 1300a. I got this drive but no software. I did'nt know it was going to be that mucj trouble, but NEC will not sell me the software so now I have a drve that will not burn

Any one have any help

Check their website: http://support.necsam.com/OEM/downloads/FlashFirmware/ for drivers (firmware). If you meant burning software, you are sometimes better off buying your software of choice. The software included with burners is not always the full version and/or is crippled in some fashion (less features included than in the full retail version). That is, you'll be unable to use it with another brand of burner. Hope that answer your question(s).

You can use any dvd recording

I wish that was only true, but as yet not been abled to burn one disk, everytime I have tried to use nero it crashes. The people at NEC tech said I have the wrong media datasafe red, they said ony the yellow would work but having said that I asked when i bought it they said red was OK i am totaly lost now

Your best bet is to try a trial version of another burning program. Then, base your purchase on what works for you. Also, what version of Nero are you using and have you tried to update it?
