Hi, all, I have spent the best part of today (no joke, no lie ) trying to change a 3xCD film which is "RIFF/CDXA mpg1" I have now found out into a DVD. Easy? No way!

Using Nero 6 I tried simply copying the first CD to make a VCD - my DVD player wouldn't even recognise it as a disc!

So I tried to make a SVCD - Nero gaily took 2 hours converting MPG to SVCD format and then told me the file was too big for the discs I had - 730MB Infiniti - by a looong way. It then did not save the 2-hour project for me to have another go later on!

Is there a way to go straight through from the above MPG file to DVD-format using one program? AND/or making a 3 disc MPG Movie set into ONE DVD - which was my original intention at 9.00am yesterday *ing morning - pardon my cursor!

I have used TMPGenc to convert the mpg1 to mpg2 (PAL DVD); 4.3 Aspect ratio; "full screen (keep aspect ratio) it took 2 hours - and I did it twice, 4 hours in total!!

It has SPLIT a 684MB file into a 3.30GB file movie clip and a 744MB wave sound file both of which which can be now played by "Power DVD"

BUT: when I attempted to see if my PC would put them together and make a DVD copy Nero tells me that "there are no compatible files found".
The movie file itself is now M2V?? and when asked about its mPeg info it says it is not a valid mpeg file?

What have I got to do to make a DVD from these 2 files, please - or even the original one?
TMPGenc has in its bottom window the following: "DVD PAL (MPEG-2 720x576 25fps CBR 6974kbps, Linear PCM 48000Hz 1536kbps)" I live in the UK and want to produce a PAL formatted disc.

I have tried to "Author" them back together, but keep getting "Track error" .
Surely someone knows what settings I should have - life has to be easier than this? You can see by the technobabble I have used that I have spent a lot of time here - but still with no answers

WILL SOMEONE HELP, PLEEEEASE!!
