Hi. I have been using virtualdub and tmpgenc to covert avi's to mpg's and create svcd's with nero. Well, normally i have to span two cd-r's (80 mins) for each video. Some take as many as three. I created one large mpg file the same way and was wondering if I can get that to a dvd-r as a svcd. If I use nero dvd burning, it wants to make a 'normal' dvd, and won't let me make a svcd to dvd-r. Is there a program to do this or am I missing something totally wrong in my thinking. Basically I have avi files that I want to watch on my dvd player and the only way I have found is svcd on cdr's.
Thanks.

OK that is an awful lot to digest. Do I have to encode to mpg or can I take a avi right to dvd ?
