    I have used these and have found them to be as reliable as Memorex for my situation.

    I have bought 3 packs of those. So far 1 legit coaster out of 120 burns. They are true RITEK G04's and burn very nicely at 4.1x in my NEC 1300a. No issues to date. Only done verification on maybe 10, all 10 came out okay.

    As reliable as Memorex? Are they really that bad?

    I own a TDK 440N burner.

    * I used Memorex 4x dvd-r
    * I used RiteK Go4's dvd-r

    ----------> Memorex is good. But on some of the media I found that it pauses, freezes and locks up my player.

    ----------> RiteK Go4's is Awsome. I have yet none go bad and this is over 100 qty using dvd-r's. These disks plays in all my dvd players at home w/o any problems. I share my backup w/ friends and they had no quality complaints.

    I let some friends borrow the memorex copies,, they state that they freeze etc...
    --------------------

    RiteK Go4's are the way to go in my book!!

    Home dvd players I use are: Phillips Q50 , Toshiba SD3750 and Daewoo 5800 (hacked).

    Hope this helps.

    Its pretty difficult buying media from a place that does not list the full media code, you just dont know what your gonna end up with. I purchased some white label discs expecting them to be princo, but when checked with dvdinfopro they were LONGTEN001.
    Someone on here must have purchased those and may be able to verify for you so fingers crossed.
    Oh yeah ritek G04s are extremely good discs, thats all i use now.

    I bought this same 50 pack and 'yes' they are Riteks. No probs so far. Only coasters I had were when my Sony DRU-500AX starting acting up. Now that I've replaced it with a stable drive, NEC 2500A, I'm having ZERO problems.

    May I mention, though, that you can find Ritek GO4s at supermediastore.com for the same price AND they have a nice, white matted finish. Supplies are usually limited, though.

    I sent an email to Newegg about Jan 21st 2004 requesting them to add the media identifier in their add. They responded a few days later that the matter would be taken up with their staff. I see today 29 Jan 04 they have not added the identifier yet.

    And they are not likely to add the identifier. If they do, it implies a contract to sell that particular identifier, and they have no control over where the discs are made (or by what company).
