  1. I used the video tutorial that was posted, and it really helped, but as i'm clicking build dvd (folder or image) it gives me an error message that an ntsc dvd needs at least 1 form of ac3 or pcm audio, and it says do i want to continue with all mpeg audio... i click yes, and it doesn't build the image or the folder, how do i fix this problem...

its a simple menu, 2 buttons video in each one, it's just 2 tapes my parents recorded, and i added an mp3 in the background, the mp3 was transcoded with automatic settings, i transcoded the captured dv-avi files using tmpgenc. the preview shows it perfectly but it won't let me build...

thanks in advance for any help.

  2. i don't think the audio was a problem, i let encore transcode it and tried it again, and it gave me an error like "unknown error DVD-1 ERROR" or something like that. I found out the drive i was trying to save the image to was low on space, i figured that may be the problem, but it wasn't i tried it on another hard drive... any ideas?

  3. Okay, i've narrowed it down to one thing, it's the audio... not the movie audio but the background audio i put in for the menus. I try to make a image with the audio, doesn't work, i try to make it without audio it does work. I know its not the settings because i let encore transcode it automatically... and i even tried manually selecting one. THe source is an mp3 file from the internet. (it's not pirated or illegal, it's a national anthem). My next try is going to be to use tmpgenc and ssrc to encode the mp3 to wav myself, and see if it will work then... if not and if nobody can help me, i'll just have to make all my dvd's without background music

Try encoding it to PCM, that should at least be the most compatable option.
