  1. I use Terratec cinergy 600 tv tuner (Phillips SSA-chipset). I can capture whatever resolution I like but I am not completely satisfied with the software - its too unstable, cut off captures and so on. Therefore I prefere VirtualDub wich is good, stable and simple. But I can only capture in 352 x 288 (vcd) with this software. When I try to change resolution, data format, codecs ect. it wonīt capture a single frame. The program tells me to lower the colourdepth, which doesnīt help, or that the hardware might not support this resolution, which it does when I capture with Terratec software. I have learned that VirtualDub donīt work that well with WDM-driver based hardware like cinergy 600, but can that be the only problem?? I use VirutalDub 1.5.10 MPEG2 and use the latest wdm-drivers from Terratec. Does anyone have a clue??

  2. You might try Iuvcr or Virtualvcr for capping - they're more wdm friendly.
