    Made in Singapore Front:

    Made in Singapore Back:

THe other option were 2x5 Packs jewel cased Made iN Taiwan, descried in the COSTCO blurb as 2x discs with the code 5DMR47A.

    Made In Taiwan Front:

    Made in Taiwan BAck:

Scans are from the boxes (not jewel cases)

One of the packs is going back, but before opening i want to deicde which will offer better quality i know the 2x and 4x dsics are the same price, but dont mind sacrificng spped for quality. Does anyone know the media codes of both discs (the media section wasnt too good) if the are both sony made, then which offers better quality (i know japan discs for maxells and imations come above the taiwan discs but have little knowledge of optical disc makers in singapore.
    Thanks all

  3. Actually you can find your answer from the DVD Media database.

The 4X made in Singapore DVD-R discs are manufactured by Mitsubishi Chemical with the Mfr ID of MCC 01RG20:

The other pack with no speed rating was probably manufactured by LeadData in Taiwan with the Mfr ID of SONY, the same discs were also manufactured in Austria:

The newest Sony 4X DVD-R discs are manufactured in both Taiwan and Austria with the Mfr ID of SONY04D1:
