erroe i philips dvdrw 228

I have a philips dvdrw228 and when i try to burn cdrw /+r or dvdrw/+r or copy of cdrom with nero6 i got erroe(communicatinon failure)and
when i tried with clonecd i got same error

Update firmware to 1.64 (try original first)
