    I am using Win XP. Where do you look to see what Firmware Version I have on my Plextor DVD 708A?

    I don't believe it shows up in Device Manager, but if you have Roxio, you can see the firmware version by going to Tools>CD Drive Properties and selecting your Plextor under devices. Nero's InfoTool will aslo give you this information.

    I think you go to device manager and look at IDE controller. From there you will find your plextor 708a. I know this is how it's looked for in windows 2000 pro. You may also use DVDINFO PRO to find out what firmware you have.
