Hi,
i'm capturing DV from a SONY TRV-350 (D8 format) through firewire, but when i see what i had captured, it looks with a undesiderable kind of noise that doesn't exist in the original tape.
Camcorder: SONY TRV350
PC:
PIII 866
512 Mb RAM
140 Gb HD
Software used to capture: Ulead VideoStudio 7, Windows Movie Maker, Pixela Image Mixer, etc, etc, etc, in every software used i have had the same problem.
please, could anybody help me ?
thank you very much !
kind regards,
nachomur

Canopus AVDC300 which is about $500+ or Virtualdub which has a few good noise filters out there and is free.
Is there a WYSIWYG feature for your capturing app? Does this show noise too? If not then it's the codec.
Try using a lossless codec like huffyuv.Huffy home"Knowledge makes a man unfit to be a slave."
