I have a file which is in DTS format, 44Khz, and has a .wav extension.
I cannot play it on the PC but can play it as an audio CD in my DVD player, so I know it is a 6ch file. I want to use it with a video for a dvd project.
How would I go about converting it from 44Khz to 48Khz without any loss in quality or speed problems and how can I convert it to a 5.1ch Ac3 file![]()
Thanks for you help in advance............

Are you sure it's 6ch DTS? Did it come from a DVD-AUDIO disc? -

they are 20 or 24 bit instead of 16bit usually though (not always) ..

since far as i know - there isn't a dts decoder (dts to wav) around (maybe there is) ..
all you could do really would be to capture the analog 6 channel , change the sample rate, and re-encode it to DTS (if you have a dts encoder) or ac3.
you would lose some quality to say the least ...
i suspect you can use use 'WaveOut fix' - which allows you to use the SPDIF output easily without using Graphedit .."Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650) -
'WaveOut fix' is on the doom9 web site if its not here ...
