    i got V 2.62.01.01 and i trie to convert a divx into an MPG2 the prog says "read only 0 bytes, while expecting 8 bytes" what the hell does that mean ??

    It means the DiVX.avi is a non-compliant .avi file and CCE can't do anything with it. That's one of the problems with DiVx, while it does give great compression & quality for your PC it's also very "non-standard". There's so many different codecs and versions out there & so many ways to encode to DiVX that this happens.

    I can't give you a solution (maybe someone else can), I'm just explaining why this happens. LOL.

    Open it in virtual dub and click file/save old format avi.

    Hi there,

    I have had this problem several times.... the way i fixed it is to use the older version of CCE v2.50 is better....
