I'm sort of at a loss. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong if any. I have both a g4 powerbook running at 1 ghz with 1.25gb of memory. But, I can't seem to load any movies burn with my pc. On the PC I used dvd+R and -R from Fuji and also the apple dvd-r disc. tried using nero and BHA Gold recorder. No luck. doesn't read and never mounts. Here's the kicker, all the disc that was burned will play fine on a stand-alone player and on the PC computer.
Any tricks to make my mac see the pc disc

My guess is the problem lies with the Powerbook's DVD drive. I'd say you might look into a replacement drive for it, or keep trying different media until you find one that works. Stick to -R media. Do data DVD-R discs burnt on the PC mount on the Powerbook?
I like systems, their application excepted. (George Sand, translated from French), "J'aime beaucoup les systèmes, le cas d'application excepté." -
any dvd disc burned using a mac is ok. once i use a pc to burn no good.

mac's typically read -r disks (especially the powerbooks)
in rare cases powebooks drives need to be updated using firmware updates to read -rw disks
This was typically with the older edition titaniums
i thought the new ones addressed this issue
id contact apple on this especially since yours is new. apple care will replace the drive if you have no problems
phone support is free for 90 days so just give them a call
