Is there a way to tell if a source video file (Divx inparticular) is encoded interlaced or not without first playing on a tv set.
i have a clip that is 25 fps and am asuming it is PAL at that frame rate, but wondering if it was interlaced .
Another quick question I have is whether the field order differs from NTSC to Pal. I assume that A field first is the norm, or does it matter. Should my ouput field order be the same as the source
I want to make an NTSC compatable DVD
Thanks

If its divx, it won't be interlaced.
