  1. Hi,

I am new here can anyone please help.

I recently bought an NEC 1300a dvd driver and have fitted it as the primary driver. It burns CD-R's fine, and will read a DVD, but will not read any blank DVD that I put in. When I click on 'properties' it says 'free space 0 bytes'. I have tried Princo DVD-R (1-4x). I have tried TDK, and a super high-grade DVD disk. Before this I had a CD-RW installed as the primary driver and ahead INCD used.

    The drive name is:

    _NEC DVD_RW ND-1300A V1.09

    Any help will be appreciated,

    THANKS.

  2. InCD and other packet-writing software in general are trouble-maker for ND-1300A. I had all kind of errors burning DVD before. Once I removed InCD, all problems were gone and my system become very stable since then.

  3. If you still have INCD running it may help to uninstall. I have known this to cause problems with various DVD-RW drives!

Have you actually tried burning a DVD? Maybe windows is just incorrecly displaying the free space information!

  4. Hi Thanks for the advice,

have uninstalled but still have the problem, do i need to take anything out of the windows registry? As it still has something in there for INCD.

    Thanks

  5. If you are running WinXP, try to disable the "IMAPI CD-Burning COM Service". It is under control panel | Administrative Tools | Services.
