  1. Im desperatly trying to burn a DVD to play it on my Playstation2.

Can someone tell me what NERO settings to make, so that it funktions on a PS2 Player.
My Burning software is NERO Burning rom 6.0.0.9 and the media i used so far was DVD-R.
I allways get an error message when trying to play it on my PS2.

    Thank 4 your help .

  2. Is this a dvd file you have created with svcd2dvd ? I use ritek printable disks (Princo's are no good) and any backup dvd plays fine in a PS2 either chipped or not, but i still have problems with files converted using svcd2dvd think this is more of a issue of how things are done (fooling the dvd player into thinking its a dvd disk) rather than anything else. Playstations are known to be very picky about dvd's...
    Maybe others have better luck.

  3. I've burned a few Ritek G04 dvd-rs and so far they all work on my cousin's PS2. I don't know what model his PS2 is but I just know they do work. Hope this helps.

What burner do you have? I burned + and- for my granddaughter's PS2 and neither played at all.

I dl'd the bitsetting tool for my LiteOn 411, set the +R to DVD-ROM and it played perfectly.

If you have one of the few ( ? ) that has bitsetting available, try that.

    Cheers,

    George

Interesting that as i use a pionoer 105 (-r's only) and burn with nero 5.10.28 and princo's wont run on any kind of PS2 yet do the same film on Riteks and they run fine. This is on both chipped and unchipped playstations as well... 8)

I use Nero Express > DVD > Disc to Disc copy.

    That simple.
    If in doubt, Google it.

Ive created the Video files with DVDShrink. The Files VIDEO_TS are created properly but somehow i seem to have the wrong settings to burn in my NERO Burning rom 6.0.0.9
PS2 has a problem to reade the DVD even when i burn it with Nero Express.

    What is the error msg?

    I don't have a PS2 but i know that they don't like DVD-VCDs only DVD-SVCDs. Also you may have some PAL/NTSC issues.
    SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.
