  1. I have no trouble burning dvd's but sometimes some dvds are encrypted or something. I use dvdshrink 2.3 to compress the dvds for burning to dvd-r's and went to do that but it wouldnt allow me.

I then opened up DVD Decrypter and when I have the dvd in my E: drive it said:

    "Device: [1:0:0] PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-105 1.33 (E

Media region code is mismatched to logical unit region!

The slower 'Brute Force' VOBDec/DeCSSPlus cracking methods will be used instead of I/O Key Exchange

Visit http://www.firmware-flash.com for Region Free (RPC Phase I) Firmware"

It says Brute Force Cracking failed, there were no vulnerable blocks. This is when it gets to VTS 06.VOB or something like that.

What does this mean and how do I fix it?

  2. it means you havent set your dvd burners region or are trying to rip a dvd that is not the same region as your drive is set to.

you should be able to rip the disc without hacking your firmware, but it is slower.. i would suggest going to rpc1.org and finding the hacked firmware for your burner.. its actually pretty nice.. 2x burning on 1x media, uncapped rip speed & region free..
