Click on 'Create Menu', then click on 'Display Menu Settings'. Double click on #1 and you can preview.

Another way is open either powerdvd or windvd and select open dvd files on hard drive and navigate to your dvd folder and play the files as a dvd.

I use 'ifoedit' (a free tool) to open the 'VIDEO_TS' directory and then use the 'DVD Play' option to check that menus and chapters function as intended, and also check that audio is in sync. If all's well, I then get 'ifoedit' to make a DVD image file and that's what I burn to disk.

  5. A big shortcoming of TMPGEnc DVD Author is that it doesn't have a preview function. At least not that I'm aware of. You can use preview in DVD Workshop and DVD Architect. DVD Lab allows you to navigate the menu buttons and that's it. With DVD Author you have to compile the DVD and use Power DVD to see what your menus look like, or what happens if you click on a button.

What BobK is suggesting would allow you to see each one of the clips but not the menus. What JohnsO is suggesting is what I'm talking about. You have to have to wait to have the DVD compiled, before you can open the DVD files and watch in Power DVD.

But the other two sw that I mentioned have preview function cost a lot more money. TMPGEncDVD Architect is already giving us a lot of value for the money. I love the motion buttons and motion background features. I hope they would add the preview feature soon.
