hi,
when i try to capture the video stream i have got this message "No valid video devices were detected. If you have a video device attached make sure it is a PAL device or change your preferences". eventhough, I have changed both the myDVD preferences and the camcorder to PAL I still got this message, I have also removed and re-installed Sonic myDVD 4.0, the sony usb driver, seat still 30 minutes to think what have I done wrong...I still got that bloody message. I'm here and need your help.

Pentium 4 3.0 Ghz/800FSB
8IPE1000 pro2 mobo
ATI Radeon 9600 series/256MB video card
CSB Audity 2 sound card
1GB RAM memory
Windows XP Pro
Lite-On 4xDVD burner
myDVD 4.0 video editing software (come with the burner).
Camcorder: Sony DCR-CRT250E (usb cable)

Can't find any reference to your camcorder, although I could find a DCR TRV250e mini DV camcorder. This has USB for still image capture and streaming webcam type video. For DV transfer you should be using Firewire (i-Link). This has the ability to control the camcorder as well as transfer the video data. That might be why it is saying it can't find it.
