Micro flaccid can go screw themselves .... well maybe not since they are flaccid :P
Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they?

  3. With a forty billion dollar war chest I'm sure they aren't that worried.

Especially seeing that Bill Gates himself has investments in Apple.

    how about running a tally

    which would you rather have

    1. iPod windows and iTunes windows
    2. mPod (microsoft version of iPod) that works with iTunes and iTunes Windows
    3. Others like Dell Digital Jukebox and no iTunes

assuming HD space and price were exactly the same.

if I owned a PC it would be #1
    just curious what others think

  5. iPod. The mPod would:

    - Crash constantly
    - Require special copy protected files and would self destruct if the EULA was broken, or you tried to put a new pair of headphones on without first asking Micro$haft or buying a new mPod.
    - It would probably be able to get a virus that deafens you with a piercing wail

    Hmph...

  6. Of course, Microsoft has a right to be hypocritical. All companies are.

And I detect a certain degree of double standards as well...

Apple basically released a player that plays a proprietary file format and has created an internet music store that restricts you to its own hardware. If Microsoft did the same thing, there would be bashing galore.

Personally, I think what Apple has done is rather clever (levering its popularity to hide criticism against its model) -- but I think that consumers will be worse off in the long run...

    Regards.
