Hello, I'd like to compress 50 gigabyte HD quality video to 1 megabyte or less mkv or mp4 in full hi-resolution quality. I just want to select a source file and press one button, what software would you recommend? Keep in mind it has to look perfect on an HD projection screen and must convert the entire file in 10 minutes. I'm not willing to pay for any software and it has to never crash on a Windows system.

No need to. I wrote one in the time between in took to get the next beer.

Darn it. I just realised that my grand alogorithm will take 10.000000000000000001 minutes so your proggy may be needed after all.

Is it too much to ask for burned in subtitles that I make up on the fly in english, spanish, german, and mandarin chinese? also, if your going to spend the 30 minutes it will take to write this program, I don't want to have to uncheck an "add this tool bar" button and if it could be completely open source with source code that would be great too. I'd also like this program to break all known forms of encryption, I'm not trying to copy BD disks or anything, I'm completely honest about this. Also, if you could get me a huge tax refund from the government that would be a nice added bonus.

Yeah, I remember my first beer...

If your movie is a big, solid, colored square in the middle of a solid background that doesn't move and is silent, then you'll probably be able to get it down to about that size! Not too shabby, eh?
