  1. Is there any way to distort the VLC video window a la QT Shift-Drag?

I've got an .avi with the aspect ratio out-of-whack.
When converted with DivX Doctor, I can distort the video window, in QuickTime by shift-dragging the window, but there is no sound

  4. I know it works in .62 and .7. Here is the screenshot.

Notice the lower right corner. You don't see that when a movie is playing, but just go there, click and drag, and you can resize the window.

Yeah. I've zoomed in on it in this picture:

The lines don't show up until you click and drag the window though.
