    this works fine in windows media player btw only in vlc i have this problem. and i remember that i had this issue with some youtube video in flash as well

    does this have something to do that the resolution is not devidable by 16 or 8 708x480 but h264 does only need /4 or am i wrong?

    Not all decoders work at mod4. And DirectShow scaling could be a problem.
