  1. I have been converting my divx and xvid.avi movies using TMPGENC and then using IFO edit and finally burning to DVD..
I have a few movies that are in 2 parts and are already MPG format. How do I treat them so I can eventually burn to DVD using just 1 disk?
With the AVI, i end up with mp2 and m2v files but I am at a loss on what to do with the mpgs...

I know with AVI i can use virtual dub to combine them into 1 file, however, not sure how to treat the mpg..

When I do burn my avi to DVD, I choose the output option to output the video and audio as individual elementary streams...

One more question... what causes the mosaic-like squares that sometimes pop up in a burned DVD? I am playing a newly burned DVD and I saw those squares and then for the rest of the movie the audio has been like 1-2 seconds out of sync.
    Thanks

Bad frames cause the problems, see link below.

Use the "Simple De-multiplex" tool in TMPG. Go to File, then MPEG Tools. It will spit out a m2v and mp2 file for each of your mpegs. You can use them to author your DVD as long as they are NOT SVCD mpegs. If that's what you have there's a program called SVCD2DVD.
